I first approached Richard about teaching me to drive after having had very poor experience with my previous instructor. The difference between them was worlds apart. After reading the numerous positive testimonials on his site and going through my initial 2-3 lessons, I knew that he would be able to help me pass first time. His calm demeanour and clear and concise teaching style ensured that I quickly gained confidence and genuinely enjoyed my lessons with him. He really got me out of my comfort zone and was always very constructive with his analysis and feedback. In addition, because he had set such a high standard of driving for me to aspire to, it meant that when it came to the test itself, I found it much easier than expected. He's a great bloke (supporting Chelsea aside!) and I couldn't recommend Richard more to anyone looking to pass first time. Fantastic teacher.
